What is a New Entrant Safety Audit?

A New Entrant Safety Audit is a review required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration for new motor carriers during their first months of operation.

The New Entrant Safety Audit typically occurs within the first 12 months after receiving operating authority from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

All new motor carriers that receive operating authority from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration are required to complete a New Entrant Safety Audit.
