Temporary Registration and Fuel Permits

Iowa offers temporary permits for registration and fuel tax compliance for vehicles operating temporarily in the state:

1. 1. Registration Trip Permit:
      For vehicles not registered in Iowa. This permit allows temporary operation for 72 hours.

   2. Fuel Trip Permit:
