Mississippi Oversize and Overweight Permits
Blanket Permits

- Validity: 1 year (not prorated) and requires valid insurance or a U.S. DOT number.
Special Heavy Haul Blanket Permit:

- Max weight: 150,000 lbs.
- Max width: 14 ft.
- Fee: $0.05 per 1,000 lbs. exceeding 80,000 lbs or axle limits, calculated per mile traveled.
Own Power Vehicles:

- $25 for a trip permit, plus additional fees for oversize/overweight.
- Size fee: $10 for exceeding legal size.
- Weight fee: $0.05 per 1,000 lbs. over legal weight, multiplied by miles traveled.
Oversize Blanket Permit

- Authorizes loads up to:
- Width: 14 ft.
- Length: 120 ft.
- Rear overhang: 14 ft. 11 in.
- Authorizes loads up to:
Fee:
$100 per year, per company.
Over Length Truck and Trailer Blanket Permit

- Max Length: 99 ft. for truck and trailer combinations.
- Fee: $100 per year, per company.
Mississippi Trip and Fuel (IRP/IFTA) Permits
Trip Permit:

- Validity: 72 hours.
